Is this photo famous and considered great because of the subject, the composition, or the camera?

Photography has become fucking stale. Unless I'm away on a trip (which I'm not right now as I'm funding a loft conversion), I can't seem to take any enjoyment in photography or find good subjects when walking around my city.
I'm considering getting a superzoom to swap things up as I've only properly shot 35mm and 50mm prime. Or I could not be a gearfag and set myself a project with themes or something. Anyone else found success with this? I'm struggling not to sell all my cameras and try something else.
