I have a ceramic English pendant 6-hole ocarina in E-major but I don't know what the ideal fingerings are.
I tested all of the combinations with a tuner and found my own perfect pitch fingerings. I later found an online website with tips and a fingering chart, but there's a disclaimer: "The actual pitch will be higher than written."

So with the information I possess (pic rel), how do I select the best fingerings? Should I simply pick what feels natural?
I fear learning the wrong way, then having to unlearn it to play properly.
