>>1531848Sounds like you want long form storylines with a more serious tone in comics, and b&w art being a benefit?
>Zebra GirlYes, this is a webcomic from the fucking 90's. And it starts out as a weird gag comic, but if you just give it a little time it morphs into an absurdist Wonderland journey that I imagine isn't too far from Cerebus. And the art is generally phenomenal. Do be aware you'll have to zoom the pages somewhat since it's in an ancient and woefully small resolution.
https://zebragirl.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/>MEGAMaybe not as dramatic as Cerebus, but it's an amazing comic with interesting premises. And the portrayal of its characters gives it a nerve and raw vibe that most other comics about giant monsters would've sorely missed.
https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Mega/>Winter WorldMore 80's action movie (the good kind!) than previous mentions, but Zaffino's b&w art makes this a must-read and setting and tone of the comic are just *chef's kiss*
https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Winterworld/>The Forever WarTotal hard scifi kino, and in just the kind of stark b&w good comics are meant to be in.
https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/The-Forever-War/>ConcreteIt's been years since I read this, but I remember people liking it back in the day, and it had a certain charm to its portrayal of everyday characters, life and situations... with a touch of extraordinary in form of it's main character.
https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Concrete/>>1531855>The Marquis by Guy Davis;Oof, so fucking good and with goddamn stellar art. You dont get much closer to a Bloodborne comic than this. I recommend looking into the early parts of BPRD since it had Davis doing it. BPRD was a pretty good action X-Files comic all the way through, but Davis art made it something special.
>The Maxx;...I'd actually recommend the cartoon for this one? Even if Kieth's art is great
