step 1. get your ass to alaska (ideally in the spring)
step 2. dont just treat it like a vacation, network the whole time and try to get a job that will sponsor you, meet with an immigration attorney, maybe look for a green card hoe
3. failing that, try to go to a local university in alaska
4. failing that see if you can explore some cultural or alternative visa to expand your time so that you can do more of 1-3
5. wait for your visa cooldown to reset and try again or…
6. live like an illegal, but this is kind of a bad idea

Best of luck, you’ve got a leg up just on account of being visa free. also you’ll need a fake itinerary probably to make it through an adversarial customs interview. it doesn’t need to be perfect but you should be able to say what hotel you’re going to and what nearby nature you’re going to see (and have a return ticket)

I also want to point out that immigration attorneys only help so much. You might be paired with one for years, I've seen a couple cases of over one decade.

yellowjackets have gotten me a couple of times mowing the lawn. A paper wasp got me when I didn't realize it had a nest under my railing. Now every spring I go hunting around my property killing any wasp or yellowjacket I find.

I dug up a 60ft by 4 and a half feet pit to build a bunker/tunnel in and would love ideas.

To give you fair warning, plastic septic tanks (when empty) have a tendency to float out of the ground when the water table comes up. Mottled grey and orange/red/yellow colors in the soil are signs of a high seasonal water table. If it is a uniform brown/red/orangey color then odds are its well drained. Well drained soils often have sand and gravel under them, usually following waterways. Godspeed mole man

I think my dream home would be a kickass underground bunker with nothing visible on the surface but a little tool shed. Bonus points for if the door inside the shed was hidden.
Could eventually build a little cabin and larp as if that's my home when in actuality I am the luxury tunnel man

The average elevation of ski resorts in the Alps is around 5,000 feet.
Thats the elevation of Denver.
Las Vegas is at about 2,000 feet.
Mt. Charleston is about a 45 minute drive away and the ski lodge at the base of the slopes is at about 8,000 feet and the peak is about 12,000 feet. People hike to the peak in the office season to photograph butterflies.

My point being that just elevation is kind of misleading.
